Florida State Seed Starting Guide for November

You may have already seen our November Seed Planting Guide for the US by Region.  I thought it would be nice to offer a State-Specific Guide as well.  Over the next few days I'll be sharing all 50 states!

SOUTH FLORIDA  
Now is a great time to FEED your Garden with Organic Nutrients!

Veggies:  Amaranth, Artichoke, BEANS, Beets, Broccoli, Cabbage, Celery, Chinese Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflower, Collards, Cucumbers, EGGPLANT, Garlic, Kale, Kohlrabi, Leek, Lettuce, Mustard, Okra, Onion, Parsnips, PEPPERS, Pumpkins, Rutabagas, Spinach, Summer & Winter Squash, Sweet Corn, Swiss Chard, TOMATOES and Turnips.

Herbs: Anise, Basil, Borage, Chives, Cilantro, Coriander, Lavender, Lemongrass, Lemon Bee Balm, Parsley, Peppermint, Rosemary, Sage, Sorrel, Thyme and Tarragon.

Flowers:  Bachelor's Buttons, Calendulas,  Cosmos,  Daisies, Dianthus, Forget-Me-Nots,  Globe Amaranth,  Lupines, Marigolds, Nasturtiums, Pansies, Sunflowers, Yarrow and Zinnias. 


CENTRAL FLORIDA
Now is a Great time to FEED your Garden with Organic Nutrients!

Veggies:  Arugula, Artichoke, Asparagus, Beans, Beets, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflower, Celery, Chinese Cabbage, Collards, Endive, Garlic, Kale, Kohlrabi, Leek, Lettuce, Mustard, Onion – bulb, multiplier, bunching, Peas, Radish, Spinach, Swiss Chard, Turnips. 

Herbs: Anise, Basil, Borage, Chives, Cilantro, Coriander, Lavender, Lemongrass, Lemon Bee Balm, Parsley, Peppermint, Rosemary, Sage, Sorrel, Thyme and Tarragon. 

Flowers:  Bachelor's Buttons, Calendulas,  Cosmos,  Daisies, Dianthus, Forget-Me-Nots,  Globe Amaranth,  Lupines, Marigolds, Nasturtiums, Pansies, Sunflowers, Yarrow and Zinnias. 

From Central Florida Gardening,
Somewhat frost hardy (These crops may survive temperatures as low as 28°F)
Lettuce, Arugula, Chard, Escarole, Endive, Cabbage 


Very frost hardy (Don’t rush to harvest these; they’ll be fine at 28° or colder)
Leeks, Scallions, Chives, Brussels sprouts, Broccoli, Kale, Parsley, Beets, Carrots, Winter squash (plant will die but the squash will be fine), Pumpkins (plant will die but the squash will be fine), Sage



NORTHERN FLORIDA
Now is a Great time to FEED your Garden with Organic Nutrients!

Veggies:  Arugula, Artichoke, Asparagus, Beans, Beets, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbage, Carrots, Chinese Cabbage (pak choy), Cauliflower, Collards, Endive, Kale, Kohlrab, Leeks, Onions - bulbing, onions - bunching, Parsley, Radish, Rutabaga, Spinach and Turnips. 

Herbs: Basil, Chives, Cilantro,  Lemon Bee Balm, Parsley, Peppermint, Rosemary, Sage and Sorrel.

According to tho its good for basil, but all 3 of my basil plants have deteriorated the past month 😞
