Why are We Fundraising?

Over the years Marys Heirloom Seeds has made it our mission to donate to schools, Teachers and Community Gardens. We've also offer discount programs for church Gardens, Community Gardens and other school garden activities.

We are not a corporate sponsor. We're just a mom-and-pop small business trying to make a difference in the world. Did you see our post about the Volunteer day at the Sage School Garden this year?  It was so much fun!!!  I don't often post about our donations but those of you reading this who are on our list know we love to help.

We've decided to expand our donation programs to include the possibility of actually building School Gardens or even just building a raised bed for low-income schools.  This is a dream of mine that I will make a reality!

Another part of our programs include a Food donation program. We'd like to expand that program by adding more garden space to be able to offer more varieties and more produce.  A hoop house might be a solution to extending our growing period to be able to give more.

Our first fundraiser was inspired by my sister.  She is an amazing women with a huge heart.  If you go to our Gardens Fundraiser page, you will find handmade necklaces made by myself and my sister.  Some are one of a kind so once they're gone, that's it.  Also, over the next week I will be adding more as they are created.  Check back often!
