ABOUT GARLIC

Garlic varieties fall into two broad categories, the hard-neck types and the soft-neck types. Soft-neck varieties tend to produce larger bulbs than hard-neck types, and their bulbs store better.
Soft-neck garlic is typically more sensitive to cold than hard-neck garlic, so it often doesn't do well in northern climates. It does just fine in Florida, California and warmer climates.
HARDNECK VARIETIES:
SOFTNECK VARIETY

Dear Mary,
It's finally August! FALL planting is HUGE in many regions across the country.

Our customers range from brand new gardeners to seasoned "pros."  For this reason we try to keep it simple and educational.  Just remember, not every form of pest control or gardening style works for everyone.  For this reason, we offer multiple options and tutorials.

I have received quite a few emails and messages about growing different varieties from seed. Unfortunately, there isn't enough room on our seed packs to offer complete growing details.  Also, planting time is different around the country and around the world.  For these reasons, we have LOTS of growing info on a special page.  We also post regularly on our blog and thru this e-newsletter.

Below are a few helpful articles and videos to help you get started or just give you a refresher.

If you have additional questions please feel free to ask. **When I say this, I mean it.**
What will YOU plant this AUGUST?

Sincerely,
Mary
