  3. This year I'm focusing on the things that worked well the last few years and growing MORE of them. We've got lettuce and greens, cauliflower and broccoli, peas, potatoes, strawberries and onions going now. Planning on cukes, squash, and tomatoes (although they NEVER work for me). Hope you have a great week!

  6. My favorite vegetable to grow is the cucumber. Like others, tomatoes are vastly important to my family's diet, but the humble cuke is what makes me smile. There is nothing better in the world than walking out in August and pulling a fresh, sun-warmed cucumber off the vine and eating it right there in the garden. :)

  24. Hi Mary! Glad I found you! Wow! zone 10! I bet you can grow a LOT of stuff! I'm in zone 7 and can grow quite a lot! The giveaway is very generous of you! My favorite thing to grow is summer squash! It seems to thrive in our garden. Blessings from Bama!

  26. My favourite veggie to grow is green peas - there's just no comparison to homegrown, even from the farmers' market (and my local market has good version of most vegetables, even tomatoes).
