Save your Jars!

I'm all about Recycling, Reducing and Re-Using!  I have a few DIY projects and gift ideas coming up and I encourage you to save your jars.

One of the best uses of jars is to store your seeds!  If you purchased heirloom seeds or saved them from your harvest it is best to keep them in cool, dry and in an airtight container (jar).

I don't make tomato sauce from scratch but I do like to spice up store-bought brands!  Our pasta sauce comes in wonderful Mason jars so I have a bunch that I've been saving for a very special occasion.
I love the Mason jars and so does Lucy
I wish I knew someone with a child who ate babyfood.  I could really use a few smaller jars.  Oh well...Bring on the martini olives!

Save any jar and don't forget to keep the lid!  Grey Poupon jars are fantastic!  Pasta jars, salsa jars, pickles and olives!  I use the jars for so many things.  I store dried pasta and beans, sugar, rice, dry spices and even leftovers.  When I made Basil Lemonade the larger jars came in very handy!
Happy Sunday!

I have a ridiculous amount of glass jars. I use them for EVERYTHING. We do lunches in them. Drink out of them! I put crafts in them. I can with them. It is getting a little out of control. :)

We re-use our jars all the time! My husband calls me a jar hoarder but we really do use them. I store herbs in them, seeds, dry goods, bone broth, I use them as my tupperware alternative. Love them!

I save allllll of my peanut butter jars and use them as drinking glasses. I also tried this great way to re-purpose the jars, which many of my readers have loved: http://akabailey.blogspot.ca/2013/02/diy-re-purposing-holiday-lights.html
